When you selected the song for your First Dance, what prompted your decision? Did you select the song because it reminds you of the time when the two of you first met? Did you select the song because the lyrics clearly communicate your current feelings for each other? Whatever contributed to your decisions for all of the special songs you are looking forward to hearing on your wedding day, please be aware that a Typical Wedding Band will not play the songs exactly as you remember them. The instrumentation may be similar, the vocals may even be close to the original artist's recording, but a Typical Wedding Band will still perform your songs their way.

A Great Wedding Band can do some amazing things musically that a Wedding DJ could never match. They can make a great song last longer than normal to keep the crowd going. They can put two or three popular songs together into a medley. They can play a popular dance song in a new and creative way. (Imagine the classic Van Morrsion song, "Brown Eyed Girl", being performed in a Reggae style.) Their ability to create dynamic energy that gets the crowd up and dancing is truly second to none. But a Typical Wedding Band may have a limited song list, or may even be limited to select genres of music.

If hearing your favorite musical selections performed differently from the way you remember them is acceptable to you, then let us suggest looking for a Great Wedding Band. However, if you want to hear your songs as they were originally recorded, then allow us to recommend selecting a Wedding Entertainment Director™. Either option will render much better results than a Typical Wedding Band.
